$12.99

This highly informative publication on the Filipino martial arts is destined to become a classic. The tapestry of the Filipino martial arts is rich and varied. There are as many Filipino fighting styles as there are islands in the Philippines. The need for self-preservation was the genesis of these systems forged in the crucible of combat against foreign invaders. Filipino martial artists are noted for their ability to fight with weapons or empty hands interchangeably.

Martial arts teacher and scholar Salim Badat interviewed the leading masters of the Filipino Martial Arts, documenting their journey, their teaching methods, their philosophy in life and martial arts and so much more!
